Zhuo Wenjun, daughter of a wealthy merchant, falls head over heels for Sima Xiangru, a penniless scholar. She defies her family's orders to elope with him, and they run a humble wine shop in Linqiong—their poverty filled with sweet affection. But when Sima gains fame in the capital, he sends a letter ending their relationship with numbers from 'one' to 'ten thousand', deliberately omitting 'yi' (meaning 'eternity'). Heartbroken yet proud, Zhuo writes 'The Ballad of White Hair' to declare her unwavering love. Will she let go gracefully or fight to win him back? This love that transcends class will finally confront the cruel truth between wealth's temptation and dignity's坚守.
