When the old Beijing Olympic venue "Chunchao Hall" faces demolition due to urban planning, cultural relic restorer Lin Xiaoman finds a 1990 Asian Games volunteer diary while sorting relics. The diary’s owner, Chen Mo, has guarded the hall for 30 years—he and his girlfriend, the hall’s designer, agreed to marry after its completion, but she died in an accident on the acceptance day. Chen Mo thus treated the hall as their "unfinished home". Chen Shi, a photographer claiming to be Chen Mo’s nephew, is actually his unborn son; his mother told him before dying, "Your father abandoned us", so he returned to "seek the truth". Xiaoman helps Chen Mo find his girlfriend’s design manuscript (to prove the hall’s historical value) and tries to resolve Chen Shi’s resentment, while secretly falling for this tough-but-soft man. When the demolition team arrives, the manuscript is found—it’s the girlfriend’s last words: "Chunchao Hall is our home, waiting for you." Chen Shi understands his father’s deep love, and the father-son reconcile. Chunchao Hall is preserved as a historical relic of the Asian Games, and Xiaoman and Chen Shi hold hands under cherry blossoms—turns out "Chunchao" (Spring Tide) is never just the hall’s name, but the love of two generations that never fades in time.
