Lin Wan spent three years saving every penny to help her boyfriend Lu Chengchuan launch his studio. She endured all hardships until he became a famous designer—only to find photos of him being intimate with a female client. She cried as she pulled out the notebook filled with "our future" and asked, "Did you ever love me?" but Lu frowned and said, "You just saw me as a kid who needed saving." That night, the two girls dragged their suitcases past the sycamore shadows under the streetlights. Lin Wan touched the unopened apology text from Lu in her pocket—this time, she didn’t look back.
