Lin Xiaoman, a bookstore owner, clings to a moonstone pendant left by her missing brother—until drug enforcement agent Gu Zhao bursts into her life, claiming the pendant is tied to a new drug called "Moonlight". From bitter conflicts to joint investigation, they uncover that Xiaoman's brother was an undercover agent who died in action, and "Moonlight" hides a transnational drug ring's conspiracy. When Gu Zhao takes a bullet for Xiaoman, and the moonstone casts their embracing shadows, they realize: the "hidden moonlight" was never about the stone—it's the unfulfilled promise of a brother, and the courage of two people running toward each other.
