Lin Qing, the young master of a reclusive sword villa, went into hiding after his family's massacre a decade ago. But he's forced back into the world by a challenge letter for the East Asian Swordsmanship Competition—Japanese sword saint Yagyu Retsu threatens to steal the title of "The World's Top Sword". While investigating the massacre truth and making friends with swordsmen, he finds his junior sister Su Wan kidnapped by Yagyu as a bargaining chip. On the final night, holding his father's broken sword, Lin Qing finally grasps the true meaning of "The World's Top Sword": protection. With that swing, he cuts through Yagyu's deadly attack and the ten-year fog, determined to win back the title, save Su Wan, and reclaim his family's justice.
