Xuan Che (Ma Mingyu), an ascetic monk in a remote temple, has maintained icy calm for years—until modern medical student Xu Shiyao (Xu Shiyao) bursts into his world. When tending to injured villagers, her hand accidentally presses against his chest during an emergency, igniting a heartbeat wilder than any in a century. As his vows fracture, he fights desire with scripture, yet his gaze betrays him, trailing her relentlessly. When a flash flood traps Shiyao, Xuan Che breaks his ultimate vow: he takes life to save hers. Blood staining his robes, he stands at the precipice: plunge into a forbidden passion with her, or sever all ties to reclaim his shattered serenity?
