Lin Xiaotang, a Thai food streamer, accidentally activates an ancient bronze compass while filming a "lost Tom Yum Goong recipe" and transmigrates to the Dajing Dynasty. She lands right on Gu Yan, the "Cold-Faced Yama" General of Zhenbei, who's being chased by assassins. Gu Yan, famous for his iron heart, is broken down by Xiaotang's playfulness—she treats his wounds with Thai methods, wins him over with mango sticky rice, and even dares to yell "General, take a break!" while holding a sugar-coated hawthorn during his training. Just as Gu Yan secretly prepares a "modern-style courtyard" to confess, the emperor suddenly orders him to marry the prime minister's daughter, and Xiaotang's compass glows, signaling her imminent return to the modern world. Caught between national duty and the one he loves, how will their love survive?
