Genius scientist Su Wan is betrayed and framed by her ex-husband, stranded in the Gobi Desert with her 3-year-old daughter Xiaoman. On the brink of dehydration and starvation, she meets Chen Ye, a rugged ex-soldier—he only eats dry buns and digs sand pits, but wraps Xiaoman's frostbitten feet in his military coat and cooks hot wild vegetable soup with a lighter.
