While making money through the system, she collects evidence of Chen Mo’s scheme and meets Lin Shen, a mysterious neighbor (actually a foreign trade businessman investigating Chen Mo). They team up: using the system’s predictions to buy scarce black-and-white TVs, selling clothes via “80s-style street叫卖 (live shouting),” and gradually turning the small grocery into a chain supermarket. In the end, she reclaims her property, exposes Chen Mo’s scam, falls for Lin Shen, and becomes the most badass business queen of the 80s.
