In the 1980s, Lin Xiaomei, newly married to factory director Zhou Jianguo, immediately faces a crisis: her husband's ex-girlfriend Liu Guixiang shows up, claiming pregnancy to demand a share of the Zhou family's factory assets and inciting her in-laws to take sides. Instead of backing down, Lin enlists her underage siblings to fight back with 80s street smarts—tearing up the fake pregnancy report at the factory gate, asking union aunts to expose the truth to the whole factory, and earning extra money via sewing to support the family. While protecting the factory shares and winning back her husband's heart, her "battle to defend the factory director's wife status" is a lively, heartwarming tale of family bond and female resilience amid 80s nostalgia.
