Lin Xiaoman takes over her grandmother's old pharmacy "Qinglu Tang", but business is dismal due to nearby demolition. One day, while tidying the attic, she accidentally opens a dusty bronze box and discovers the pharmacy's back wall can connect to "Hui Chun Tang" in Bianjing of the Northern Song Dynasty—where apprentice Gu Zhao is facing confiscation for his pharmacy being falsely accused of selling counterfeit medicine. They help each other through this past-present channel: Lin uses modern quality inspection to clear Gu's name, and Gu revives "Qinglu Tang" with a Northern Song imperial prescription. As they interact daily, a cross-millennium affection quietly grows. But the bronze box's energy is fading—can they break the time barrier?
