In the early years of the Republic of China, female journalist Su Wan is wrongfully jailed for investigating a corruption case. To her shock, she runs into the rumored cold-blooded Young Marshal Lu Tingchuan in prison—the man who saved her from drowning three years ago, only to be abandoned by her in a panic. Now Lu stands before her in shackles, his eyes burning with obsession: "Su Wan, I never accepted your 'forgetfulness'." Little does she know, he deliberately got arrested not just to uncover the truth of her framing, but to win back the "little girl who ran away". As their prison clashes give way to unspoken affection, and past misunderstandings collide with present dangers, can they break through the bars and rediscover the love time tried to hide?
