Suisui’s eyes well up in worry, and a faint light glows from her fingertip: touching Dad’s leg heals his old injury instantly; waving her hand makes wild vegetables grow on barren land; even the village tyrant aunt who tries to steal eggs gets blown into a manure pit by a small wind! The falling-apart home now has hot meals, patched clothes, and even a crutch for Dad—all thanks to her “magic.” But every night, Suisui hides under the quilt counting her fairy power: “Only three drops left… Will I lose my family if I use them up?”
