Yuan Yuan, a little celestial spirit from the Heavenly Realm, is banished to Earth for accidentally altering a mortal's fate. Using magic, Yuan Yuan turns into a cute toddler, runs into Gu Zhao's arms yelling "Daddy," and moves into the prince's mansion to start his "dad-training routine": exposing the concubine's fake pregnancy, taking an assassination arrow for Gu Zhao, and using divination to help him pass the emperor's test. Gu Zhao, who once found Yuan Yuan a nuisance, now tucks him in at night and waits half an hour for his favorite osmanthus cake, learning what it means to be responsible. But just as Gu Zhao fully accepts Yuan Yuan as his son, Yuan Yuan's celestial powers start to fade—his mission is complete, and he must return to the Heavenly Realm? Can this cross-realm father-son bond survive fate?
