Lin Wan had a crush on Lu Jingshen for three years. On the rainy night before he went abroad, she finally worked up the courage to confess, only to see him holding a girl with red, tear-streaked eyes and whispering, "I'll take responsibility." Her outstretched hand froze mid-air, then retracted—so his tenderness was never meant for her. She turned and ran into the rain, swallowing the unspoken "I like you" and drenching all her hopes for him in the downpour. What she didn't know was that the girl was Lu Jingshen's younger sister. He was about to chase after her when he got a call saying his grandma was critically ill. By the time he dealt with everything and went to find her, Lin Wan had moved, and her phone number was disconnected. Five years later, they reunited at a class reunion. As she smiled and introduced her fiancé, he realized: what he missed in that rainstorm was a return he could never get back in his life.
