Lin Chuan, a down-and-out contractor on Earth, is owed wages and cheated on by his girlfriend. At his lowest point, he receives an offer to build infrastructure for a lunar base—because "Earth's 'unconventional methods' are exactly what the over-regulated moon needs." Reluctantly, he lands on the moon, only to clash with Su Xiao, a proud and acerbic research team leader, and face a deadly helium-3 energy module leak. Using his "down-to-earth construction tricks" (reinforcing the leak with steel pipe brackets), Lin saves the day and becomes the moon's "infrastructure hero." As he and Su Xiao go from verbal sparring to romantic sparks, he discovers the "mysterious sender" of the offer is linked to his vague past-life memories of being a "lunar engineer"…
