Lin Chuan, an engineering student, accidentally sends a message complaining about his roommate’s burnt instant noodles (with a photo of his own cooked noodles) to Su Wan, the campus belle, while scrolling the school forum late at night. Fearing social death, he’s shocked to get a reply: “Your noodles look delicious—I’ve never cooked one.” It turns out the cold-hearted belle has never experienced “ordinary happiness”—her life is filled with tutoring and family meetings. They start “late-night ordinary dates”: Lin teaches Su to cook noodles, Su helps Lin revise his speech. Lin learns about Su’s hidden tears (her family forces her to transfer next month), and Su falls for Lin’s “imperfections”—like how he’d squat in the library corner for half an hour just to pick up her pen. But when Su’s mom throws Lin a plane ticket: “You don’t deserve her,” Lin’s insecurity explodes, and Su has to choose between “being a good daughter” and “chasing love. Can this love that started with a “noodle message” survive the dawn?
