Lin Shen, the "Well God" of Qingshan Village, has guarded the village's only old well for ten years. He goes down the mountain for the first time to find a new water source, only to crash into Shen Zhixia's sports car—she's a rich heiress here to negotiate the village's demolition. Drawn to Lin's innocence, Shen starts pursuing him: luxury gifts are dismissed as "city people's waste," dinners turn into carrying water for villagers, and she even joins him to search for well eyes in the mountains. But when Lin learns her real identity as the property developer's daughter, he snaps: "You're here to destroy our home!" Little does he know, Shen is the "little crybaby" he saved years ago—she's here to find the boy who once promised to "wait for her to grow up."
