Su Xiao, a slow-to-warm-up “wallflower” at an advertising company, is forced into a flash marriage with her cold high school crush Lu Jingshen to escape her mom’s marriage pressure. Expecting an awkward “stranger cohabitation,” she’s shocked to find the icy investment banker hides her 10-year-old design sketches, remembers her love for half-sugar hot cocoa, and even leaves a warm lamp and hot congee when she works overtime till midnight. When Su Xiao finally dares to face her racing heart, she uncovers Lu’s “premeditation” — ten years ago by the playground, he’d already memorized the girl crouching to pick up design papers. The slow-to-warm-up girl finally meets someone willing to take it slow with her, in a mutual unrequited love that’s worth the wait.
