Su Wan, a wealthy heiress, is targeted by enemies due to a family business war. Her father hires Lu Chuan, a "one-man army" cold-faced bodyguard. But no one knows that this "god of war" who can subdue criminals with one hand is terrified of cats—and Su Wan just happens to have a clingy ragdoll cat. Every time the cat jumps into Lu Chuan's arms, he has to stiffen his body and pretend to be calm, his red ear tips making Su Wan laugh so hard she slaps the sofa. As they get along, Su Wan discovers the tenderness behind Lu Chuan's "fear": he secretly warms her milk, guards her door when she can't sleep, and even gets injured taking a knife for her.
