Su Xiao, a cultural relic restorer, always spots the shadow of Cheng Mo, a night security guard, on the museum window each evening. Their fates intertwine over an ancient jade inscribed with "guarding through day and night," only to unearth a cruel truth: a millennium ago, they were lovers torn apart by family feuds, cursed to live in daylight (Su Xiao) and night (Cheng Mo)—if they ever stand in sunlight together, Cheng Mo will vanish. When the jade reveals a clue to "break the curse with love," Su Xiao resolves to risk everything to recover her past memories. But Cheng Mo suddenly disappears, leaving a note: "I can’t let you risk your life for me." Clutching the jade, Su Xiao races to the museum rooftop—at midnight, she hears Cheng Mo’s voice: "How could I leave you to face this alone?" As dawn breaks, they clasp hands tightly, and the jade glows warm—after a thousand years, the chains of day and night are finally broken by love.
