Dabao, a rental agent eager to hit her sales target, disguises a run-down apartment as a “river-view home” and pretends to be a naive landlady to trick Jiang Kaixin, a programmer. Jiang, hiding from debt collectors, acts like a clueless tenant who claims he can’t even connect to Wi-Fi. After moving in, they play a daily game of “fake dumb vs. fake clueless”: Dabao hides the leaking ceiling, Jiang secretly uses her microwave.
