Kind-hearted college student Lin Xiaoman travels alone to a remote mountain village after her classmate Zhou Qing asks for “poverty alleviation help”. However, she discovers the so-called “poor family” is actually a human trafficker’s den—Zhou Qing has long been coerced into joining them, and Xiaoman becomes a “commodity” to be sold. Pretending to comply, Xiaoman secretly collects evidence but fails three escape attempts: locked in a woodshed, blocked by a strong man at the village entrance, almost taken up the mountain by force. With her phone’s location records and villagers’ subtle hints, she finally contacts the police during her fourth escape, taking down the gang and freeing Zhou Qing from their grasp.
