Top quantum scientist Lin Shen accidentally travels back to a famine-stricken Northwest Chinese village in 1959 due to a time machine malfunction. Bound to him is a "Future Research Lab" system, which holds prototypes of hybrid rice, blueprints for simple irrigation equipment, and other advanced technologies.
