Su Wanwan fled to the outskirts of the capital with her three-year-old "koi lucky baby" Xiaotang, only to be taken in by Gu Huaizhi—the "good-for-nothing" mocked by the entire city. Neighbors scorned Gu as a sickly man "too weak to lift a sword," but Su knew the truth: years ago, she found him in a border mass grave with three enemy arrows in his chest and a "Northern Defense Army" token in his hand. For three years, she supported him by selling embroidery, and Xiaotang always called him "Hero Daddy," only to be pelted with rotten vegetables. Until Northern Di cavalry pressed the border: Gu, missing for half a year, returned with black-armored soldiers. On his horse, his silver spear glinted, and a royal messenger shouted: "General Gu Changyuan! His Majesty orders you to defend the capital!" It turned out he faked incompetence to infiltrate the enemy camp. Now victorious, he’s here to avenge the humiliation Su and their child endured.
