Down-and-out programmer Lin Chuan is just laid off and can't afford rent when he accidentally activates the "Black-Hearted Boss System" on a rainy night—he can only survive by "harvesting" the "scraps" of others' dreams. Forced to open a "Dream Shelter," he rents desks to young people with bizarre dreams: a socially anxious girl who wants to be a "professional gossip observer," a rich kid aiming to be a "pet emotion healer"... Lin Chuan uses the system's weird props like "Complaint Rebound Sticker" and "Procrastination Eraser" to earn points, while struggling between "greedy money-making" and "secretly helping everyone fulfill small dreams." When the system gives the ultimate task: "Shut down the shelter," he realizes: the dreams he once saw as "point materials" have long become his own reason to live—this time, will he choose money or the "unfinished" of this group?
