Lin Chuan, a penniless recent graduate, squats on the street eating steamed buns after a disastrous job interview—until a shabby old man forces a worn copper bell carved with eye patterns into his hand. That night, he discovers his left eye can see through jade rough—the legendary "Gold-Eye"! With his last 300 yuan, he rushes to the jade gambling market, only to be mocked by the boss for being "poor". But when he bites the bullet and buys a cracked "useless" stone, he cuts out a imperial green glass-type jade and earns 2 million overnight! Before he can celebrate, jewelers' threats and peers' frame-ups hit him, and the old man suddenly reappears, saying he's here to "take back what doesn't belong to him"...
