Village doctor Lin Xiaochuan finds 5-year-old orphan Xiaotang abandoned on his way down the mountain and adopts her out of sympathy. However, his greedy cousin Lin Daqiang accuses him of being a human trafficker and even threatens to go to the police station. His wife Su Xiaoyun, a surgeon from the city supporting rural areas, is tough and protective. To prove her husband’s innocence, she checks all the mountain road surveillance and finds a video of Xiaotang’s mother entrusting her daughter before her death. At the family banquet, Su plays the video publicly—Lin Daqiang is left speechless, and everyone apologizes. Lin holds Xiaotang with teary eyes, while Su clutches his hand tightly: “No one has the right to smear my husband’s kindness.”
