Ye Xuan, disciple of the three great devils, lost his memory after practicing the "Five-Day Heartless Formula", forgetting his life-and-death bonds with five stunning women—a poison doctor, a fox spirit, a female general, etc. When he goes down the mountain to fulfill an arranged marriage with Su Wanning, the Su family's daughter, his old loves intercept him one after another: the poison doctor threatens him with a toxic pill to acknowledge their past, the fox spirit uses fox fire to trigger memories, and the female general points a sword at him, asking, "Did you forget me who took an arrow for you on the battlefield?" But Su Wanning, who already knows about his amnesia, is the most "dangerous" one among the five—she's secretly trying to help him "remember everything"! Ye Xuan struggles to avoid the "memory-forcing attacks" while dealing with Su Wanning's "tricky marriage coercion". Worse, the side effect of the Heartless Formula hits: every night he dreams of fragments with his old loves, and every memory brings sharp heartache. He struggles between "forgetting" and "remembering", unaware that this is all a test from his masters—to make him find his true love in amnesia.
