Disciple Lin Xiaoyu has a strange dream one night where he beats the Sect Master badly. Waking up, he gains an uncontrollable desire to "compete". He sneaks into the Sect Master’s room at night and gives the Master a good beating, leaving the Master confused and too scared to make a fuss. Later, Lin becomes a cultivation maniac, spreading the "cut-throat competition" trend throughout the sect, forcing even elders and the Master to join in. The whole sect suffers but has no choice. A hilarious comedy caused by a dream kicks off.
