Lin Shen, a ruthless modern capitalist nicknamed the 'Iron Abacus' in the business world, accidentally transmigrates into Lin Yan—the disreputable profligate heir of the Yuan Dynasty's Protectorate. Upon waking, he encounters Empress Ye Huang's imperial recruitment: she's a newly ascended ruler trapped by veteran ministers, with a border grain shortage looming like a knife. Using his modern business rivalry tactics (dubbed 'poisonous schemes'), Lin Shen buys grain at low prices to provoke the old ministers, secretly exposing their collusion with grain merchants and resolving the crisis. Ye Huang, initially wary of his cold-blooded methods, has to rely on his wisdom. Lin Shen, in turn, plans to use imperial power to redeem his 'profligate' reputation. As they test each other, Ye Huang suspects Lin Yan's 'changed soul,' and Lin Shen discovers her vulnerability beneath the dragon robe. Will this 'transaction' between a poison strategist and an empress turn into a balanced bond?
