Lin Zhao was raised by his master on Qingxuan Mountain. On his deathbed, the master gave him a half-jade pendant engraved with "Zhao", revealing his family was massacred fifteen years ago—he’s the only survivor, tasked to find the other half jade to regain memory and avenge. After descending, he saves Ah Fu, a peddler bullied by ruffians, who follows with his fellows. He meets Su Wan, a doctor chased by the "Blood Eagle Pavilion", and they fall in love as she heals his wounds. Later, he encounters Shen Qingli, a thief who steals his jade—she has a half-jade with "Li"! Teaming up, they’re ambushed by the Pavilion, and Lin Zhao is shocked to find his master’s tie to the "Mountain and River Scroll" his family guarded. When the two jades unite, in blinding light, he recalls a forgotten truth: is his master his savior, or an accomplice to the massacre?
