Sixty-eight-year-old Zhou Xiulan is diagnosed with advanced liver cancer, but her son hides the truth—afraid it would affect his career—and her daughter-in-law, worried about medical costs, lies that it’s just “gastritis needing rest.” Ten-year-old grandson Xiaoyu, sent back to the countryside for being naughty, accidentally finds the diagnosis under Grandma’s pillow.
