Single mother Lin Wan's daughter Xiaotang is suddenly kidnapped, and the kidnappers demand a 5 million ransom—an amount she could never earn no matter how hard she works. Desperate, she takes out the old poker cards she's hidden for ten years, recalling that she was once the legendary "Night Sparrow," a card god in the underground casino. To save her daughter, she returns to the gamble under the alias "A Que," only to encounter the casino boss's "death game": win and get the ransom, lose and pay with her life. When she flips the last card at the table, she not only has to outsmart her opponents but also confront the secret of her retirement ten years ago—all for the sake of one sentence: "I want my daughter to live."
