18-year-old Taoist apprentice Zhu is on his first trip down the mountain when he sees a truck hurtling toward Lin Zhao, a girl in a white dress. He instinctively pushes her away but gets scraped to the side of the road and faints. When he wakes up, he finds Lin—who was supposed to be unconscious—taking his pulse with skills even more divine than his master’s on the mountain! To his shock, Lin pulls out an old photo from the Republic of China era, and the girl in it looks exactly like her now! It turns out she’s a “divine doctor” who’s lived for a century, hiding in modern times after refusing to treat a warlord. And Zhu’s blood? It can break the “immortality curse” on her. As the apprentice tries to uncover his origin and the doctor seeks to end her curse, they’re forced to stick together. Amidst mutual suspicion, they realize a century-old agreement between a Taoist and a divine doctor has long tangled their fates into an unbreakable knot…
