A Yuan, nicknamed "Chi'ni" (meaning "Eat You") in the village, is despised by villagers for always mooching food. One day, he encounters Gu Zhao, the young master of the Hou Mansion, who is being chased by enemies and critically injured at the foot of the mountain. Just as everyone—including the accompanying doctor—gives up on Gu Zhao, A Yuan uses the "rustic remedies" he learned in the mountains to pull him back from death's door. When Gu Zhao wakes up, he finds that this rough guy with dirt-streaked hands is actually the嫡传 disciple of a hermit medical immortal, who just came down the mountain to "experience life". But as news of A Yuan saving Gu Zhao spreads, it not only leaves the entire Hou Mansion speechless but also attracts black-clad men coveting the medical immortal's inheritance—their "troublesome fate" has just begun.
