Lin Chuan accompanies his girlfriend to a street stall. Dressed plainly, he’s insulted by a shrew at the next table as "a poor ghost dirtying her eyes," who even has her lackeys shove him. His girlfriend, embarrassed, breaks up with him on the spot and flees. Unbeknownst to all, Lin Chuan is the "War King" who’s been in hiding for a decade—he gave up his identity to save his comrades. Now pushed too far, his dormant warrior power awakens: a single icy glare scares the lackeys away; he retaliates against the shrew with a swift move, and even the local gangster who comes to back her up is knocked down with three punches. Just then, his ex-girlfriend returns, sobbing, to beg for forgiveness—only to see a man in a suit, Lin Chuan’s former comrade and now a corporate president, hand him a black card and say, "War King, it’s time to return to your rightful place."
