Lin Wan, an archaeology student, ventures into Ailao Mountain with a dragon-shaped bronze talisman left by her missing grandfather. She meets A Chen, a guide who claims to “know every path”, but upon entering, they’re warned by villagers: “Whoever seeks the dragon dies.” They soon encounter eerie dragon-shaped shadows at night and ancient copper bells ringing—a curse triggered by the talisman. As her grandfather’s diary is uncovered, they learn the “dragon” is actually a guardian mechanism built by an ancient civilization to prevent landslides—and her grandfather went missing stopping antique traffickers from destroying it. With the rainy season approaching and the mountain cracking, the traffickers are chasing them for the talisman. Lin Wan must unlock the talisman’s secret to awaken the “dragon’s” protection before the mountain collapses—while finding her grandfather…
