Lin Xiao, a modern antique restorer, accidentally unsealed Xiao Che—the northern town general who died in battle a thousand years ago—from an ancient painting during restoration. Confused by modern life (he mistakes takeout for “magic medicine” and the subway for a “cage”), Xiao Che gradually falls in love with Lin through hilarious interactions. But their reunion attracts a mysterious villain—who revived from ancient times and sealed Xiao before. Lin and Xiao must fight fate to protect their thousand-year-crossed love amid the clashes between the old and new eras.
