Lin Xiaoman and Gu Ye were childhood sweethearts who climbed plum trees in the alley together. At 18, Gu Ye suddenly disappeared, leaving only a withered plum branch. Ten years later, Xiaoman, now a pastry chef, meets a weathered Gu Ye at her shop. He says he’s back to keep his promise of picking plums for her, but Xiaoman harbors a thorn—she once overheard Gu Ye say, "I never loved her." It’s not until Gu Ye pulls out his old leukemia diagnosis that she learns he left to avoid burdening her. Can this withered plum branch bloom again with their old love?
