Lin Xiaoman has run a late-night convenience store for three years, clinging to the hope of finding her missing sister. Then Gu Chuan, a man in a black windbreaker, appears—he always buys expired orange soda but never opens it. One night, Gu Chuan bursts in covered in wounds, shoving a blood-stained notebook into her hands, which holds an old photo of her sister. Xiaoman thinks she’s close to the truth, only to uncover Gu Chuan’s secret: is he the “witness” to her sister’s death, or the “outsider” pulling all the strings? The late-night wind carries the store’s warm light, revealing a maze of love and hate. Trapped in the “dark night” by fate, she and Gu Chuan sink deeper the harder they fight.
