Zhang Jianguo, an 80s father who spent his whole life scrimping and saving, died witnessing his children fighting over his money while his wife hid a 30-year-old divorce petition. But the moment he closed his eyes, he woke up in 2003—right when his family was on the brink of collapse! This time, he’s not staying quiet: he soaks his mooching son’s game cards, confronts his wife with old love letters to make her share her grievances, and even takes his daughter-in-law to sell goods on the street to cure her “princess syndrome”… When a retro “tough” dad meets modern family cracks, can the love hidden in the mundane of daily life be retrieved?
