Modern office worker Su Xiao accidentally travels back to a 1985 state-owned factory family courtyard while burning the midnight oil on a proposal—only to awaken a superpower: she can “talk” to old objects! The cassette player gripes about a dirty magnetic head, the sewing machine complains about crooked stitches, and even the Forever bicycle at the door “yells” about a flat tire. She uses this skill to fix a neighbor’s broken black-and-white TV (dead for half a year) and earns her first pot of gold—yet Chen Mo, her childhood friend and a factory lad, calls her a “fraud.” When the factory’s critical machine tool suddenly breaks down, threatening a shutdown, Su Xiao “chats” with the machine to find the fault, shaming the skeptics and teaming up with Chen Mo to start a business using her “old-object superpower”… But as her ability grows stronger, she uncovers a shocking truth: her connection to 80s objects is tied to a “memory obsession” from the era—one that might change everything she knows.
