Eighty-year-old Uncle Zhou is the "invisible judge" of the old town—every day he sits on a small stool at the alley entrance to sunbathe, but secretly records the grievances of his neighbors. When a single mother is wrongfully evicted by her landlord and a delivery guy is framed for stealing a bag by a rich kid, Uncle Zhou’s seemingly "nosy" chats hide sharp tricks: using his experience as a retired civil mediator to dig out the landlord’s illegal contract, using the neighbors’ surveillance to expose the rich kid’s lie, and even using his stubbornness as an "elderly person wanting to go to the police station to reason" to force the villains to back down. No one knows that ten years ago, he was too timid to help a bullied neighbor, and he’s been regretting it ever since. Now, every "nosy" thing he does is to make up for that regret, and the "unfair things" in the old street are slowly turning warm because of this "nosy old man."
