The thousand-year-old white snake Bai Susu fails her ascension and accidentally binds to the "Karmic Closure System". To become immortal, she must travel back to the Northern Song Dynasty to repay Xu Xian's life-saving grace and avenge Fa Hai's suppression. But the reincarnated Xu Xian is a "clumsy demon hunter even demons fear", and Fa Hai has turned into a "greedy Taoist who loves free meals": the system tells her to "save the hero", but she tangles Xu Xian's demon-catching net into a yarn ball; to "teach Fa Hai a lesson", she gets trapped in Fa Hai's demon jar and has to sell talismans with him to make money. When "revenge missions" become "funny cohabitation", Bai Susu realizes that past love and hate have long turned into sweetness—turns out the most important ascension is not to become a fairy, but to untangle the unspoken heartbeat hidden in a thousand years of obsession.
