Centenarian veteran Lin Jianjun is on his deathbed, murmuring "Wait for you to come home" which is a secret he has kept for seventy years. His great-granddaughter Lin Xia embarks on a journey to find relatives to fulfill grandpa's last wish, and accidentally stumbles into the dusty memories of the Long March: five comrades-in-arms led by grandpa got lost in the grassland back then, and he swore with half a piece of dry food to send his comrades "home". Xia's journey is full of thrills, not only uncovering a forgotten secret of the Long March, but also pulling out the obsession and persistence spanning life and death between two generations.
