Office worker Lin Xiaoyou accidentally binds to a mandatory quest system during a business trip. The system requires him to kidnap a specific target to unlock the permission to go home. But all he wants is to rush back to his rental to pet his cat, showing no interest in kidnapping. Every mission goes wrong: he smashes the target’s custom cake when trying to kidnap and ends up paying for it plus treating them to desserts; when tailing, he witnesses the target being harassed and saves them by accident, becoming their savior. While the system urges him on, he loafs around, triggering a series of absurd misunderstandings and getting caught in an unexpected crisis.
