Jiang Ning, 32, runs her late mentor's cake shop while struggling with debt and caring for her autistic son Xiao Yu. Her life is falling apart until two young people burst in—18-year-old Xiao You, who claims to be an orphan her mentor once sponsored, here to "repay kindness." She uses handcrafted sugar cookies to slowly open Xiao Yu's heart and her warm smile to hold the failing shop together. Then there's 20-year-old Chen Mo, a "max-level child prodigy" with international baking awards, who offers to join the shop as a technical partner. With his precise, gram-perfect recipes and viral marketing, he quickly turns the shop around—but demands that Jiang Ning "abandon all unnecessary emotions," including Xiao You's "useless tenderness." Jiang Ning has three months to choose: the grateful "little cotton-padded jacket" who heals her son, or the max-level prodigy who saves her business? But when she discovers that Xiao You and Chen Mo are actually her mentor's biological children—and that her mentor's accidental death was linked to her—this choice becomes a test of redemption: Is she saving the shop, her son, or her own guilty conscience?
