In the 1980s, Lin Chen, a technical backbone of a state-owned maintenance team, was framed by his business partner who embezzled project funds and framed him for dereliction of duty. Lin lost his job, his belongings were seized, left with only five jin of pork, wandering in despair. He used his superb craftsmanship to exchange food stamps for old tools, repairing home appliances and bicycles for neighbors, gaining a foothold through public praise. With his courage, he won the first batch of projects and built his maintenance empire. On the road to counterattack, he faces the shadow of betrayal, protects his relatives and friends, and finally becomes an industry legend.
