Lin Yang, a poor young man, saved every penny for three years to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend Su Xiao—only to catch her cheating with her rich best friend's boyfriend on his birthday. Su Xiao didn't even apologize; she crushed the ring under her heel in public, sneering, "You're too poor to marry me!" Desperate, Lin Yang climbed the rooftop to end his life, but a mysterious old man in a cyan robe stopped him. The old man handed him a tattered book called *One-Curse Spell*, saying, "Each incantation can fix a regret... but you'll learn the price soon enough." Lin Yang tried it: "Bring Su Xiao back to me." To his shock, Su Xiao knelt and begged for forgiveness the next day, even gifting him an expensive watch! But strange things followed: Su Xiao suddenly feared sunlight, the clock at home stuck at 3 AM, and worst of all—Lin Yang found an old photo of his late grandfather hidden in a trunk... and the old man looked exactly like him.
